Pace is currently operating in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong & Thailand and is rapidly expanding in Asia Pacific. Pace will be expanding to Japan, Korea, Taiwan (by H1 2022) and the rest of Southeast Asia (by end 2022). As an intern, you will be exposed to our cross-boundary operations through direct connections with country GMs, managers and representatives at all levels. Some positions will also involve setting up operational processes for the new regions, as well as directly speaking with clients and customers from these regions. The Pace internship experience is not bounded by the country you are based in, but rather a choice to make this experience truly your own, with international exposure.
GROWTH INTERN
We want someone who thinks outside the box to solve everyday problems. Someone who can think on their feet. We want someone with the courage to make decisions on behalf of the company that will benefit our partners, which will in turn benefit the company. You’ll be responsible for building a strong support network for Merchants and Partners, with a focus on payment solutions that drive sales.Your role is really fluid in this team. Take the first few weeks to try everything out, then devise an area of expertise you want to specialise in. As much as we want you to leave with an impact on the company, we want this internship to make an impact on you too.If you run into fires when people are running out, we want you!
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Be out meeting merchants and partners, this is not a desk-bound internship which confines you to the office and your laptop screen
- Work with the business development team to implement projects that value add to the experience of our merchants and partners
- Work cross-functionally within Pace, to provide feedback about customer needs, in order to drive future product development
- Direct outreach to potential Merchants and Partners, in order to take on key brands that will benefit from Pace’s offerings
- Develop customised proposals that help articulate Pace’s benefits, and drive sales for Merchants and Partners
- Develop, plan, and monitor Pace’s category sales pipeline, and plan initiatives to both build pipeline activity, and encourage transactions
- International Exposure: Speak with merchant partners from overseas regions, conduct product demonstrations and trainings; as well as assisting country head of sales and sales teams to conduct sales reportings, presentations and liaise with regional team on new process flows
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a demonstrable bias towards action and execution
- Interested in businesses, e-commerce, sales, and marketing strategies & activities is aplus but not a must
- Enjoys high-growth environments, and approaches challenges with a growth mindset, witha lot of room to experiment and grow in a self-direct manner
- Has a basic grasp of the payments industry (if you ever made a purchase by scanning aQR code is counted)
- Loves finding hacks to achieve goals
