Created in 2008, Papahan Films is a television production company headed by its Creative Director M. Raihan Halim and Managing Director Edmund Dion Lim. Together with Producer, Asra Aman, Papahan Films aims to push the boundaries of storytelling on both the film and television screens.

From its humble beginnings of conceptualizing ideas and co-producing with other local companies, Papahan Films has grown to venture and produce its own content, pioneering on making stories that are fresh, young and relatable to the younger audiences.

Some of company’s works have garnered hits and pushed the boundaries of television content such as the romantic telemovie comedy Mr Perfect (2011), and the hit drama Munah & Hirzi: Action! (2012) which not only lured a large online viewers back to television but also pioneered multi-platform storytelling through radio and magazine.

Known for its award-winning dramas Ayah Kat Rumah (2010) and Yazid Pakai Lampin (2008), their highly-acclaimed heist telemovie Big Time In Little Street (2009) was nominated in 2010 Asian Television Awards.
Its other television works include the highly rated children series 100 Wishes (2010) where M. Raihan Halim was heading the writing team and co-producing the production of the show. As well as the cloning children’s series Me Myself & Isaac (2013).

Papahan’s current projects include its feature film debut, Banting and the Toggle programme, I’m The Better Cook! telecasting in October 2013.
Job Description
Production interns will be involved and be immersed in the workflow and duties in a feature film production. They will be assisting and be heavily involved in the various aspects of pre-production and production, as well as assisting the various departments such as art direction, wardrobe and logistics.

Camera crew interns will be involved and assisting the camera crew team during production shoot. This job requires a lot of heavy lifting, carrying and setting up of heavy items. Interns who wishes to pursue a career as a camera crew team, would need to be mentally prepared for heavy work and stamina.

Both positions would require enthusiastic, keen to learn, as well as self-motivated individuals who has a passion for the TV and Film industry.
