Paper Lantern Distilling – Marketing and Communications Intern

Job Brief:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Intern to work full-time in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

Asset Generation and Curation:

• Curate and assist with creating assets needed for the brand, including project managing photography and video creation with external parties
• Visit existing accounts and document marketing activities.
• Ensure all assets for digital and print are consistent with brand visuals

Content Creation:

• Develop content marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand awareness, acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, driving traffic and engagement.
• Create engaging content for the brand’s social media channels, blog, website and marketing collateral (brochures, cocktail booklets etc)
• Customize graphics as required
• Continue to build and evolve brand tone of voice and ensure consistency across all content assets

Events Marketing:

• Organizing facilities and details such as supplies, entertainment, transportation, location, equipment, promotional material, etc.
• Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize event.
• Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day.
• Plan for, attend and take meeting minutes with potential accounts, identifying their needs and opportunities for collaboration or product placement

Required Skills and Experience:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a focus on Marketing, Business Communications, English or related field
• Excellent command of the English language in writing and communications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
• Highly organized, excellent problem solver, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
• Having an interest in Photography is a plus
• Any proficiency in photography & videography will be major plus points
• Good with Illustrator and Photoshop
• Have a pleasant, friendly and outgoing personality.
• Have confidence in speaking and presenting.
• A dedicated team player with the ability to be independent when required.
• Able to think creatively, possess good eye for visual aesthetics
• Flexible to adapt to change and able to pivot quickly
