Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Help to arrange and stock up materials and ingredients in chiller, freezer and dry storage upon delivery
  • Help in ordering fresh ingredients such as fruits on a daily basis
  • Receives stocks materials (when needed)
  • Master all basic cooking methods; preparing daily mis-en-place for the assigned station
  • Basic baking skills
  • Prepare food items as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimising wastage
  • Correctly use, clean and maintain all equipment, utensils and tools within the food production area
  • Promptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions or equipment which requires repair or maintenance to immediate supervisor
  • Printing out of orders and events (when there is) on a daily basis
  • Participate in inventory counting stocks
  • Prepare and pack finished products for deliveries
  • Perform other duties require by Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Prior experience of a least 1 year in a hospitality/high production environment will be an advantage
  • Baker/Pastry culinary graduates are welcome to apply
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment’s like dough sheeter, mixers and ovens
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Physical endurance to stand for entire shift
  • Team player, self-motivated and self-directed
  • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
  • Physically able to move during the length of shift; able to lift up to 25 kg or more
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, and state health and safety precautions and regulations
