Job Description

Customer Service and Marketing Intern with a Passion for Animals / Pets


We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service and Marketing Intern to support our day-to-day operations and marketing efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a startup environment, working closely with our team to deliver excellent customer service, manage product listings, update website content, and engage in offline marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:

    • Handle customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, providing timely and accurate information about our services.
    • Assist customers with booking services and navigating the Pawkit platform.
    • Process bookings and ensure all customer details are accurately recorded in our system.
    • Resolve customer issues and escalate complex cases to the appropriate team members.

  2. Product Listings:

    • Upload and manage product and service listings on the Pawkit website.
    • Ensure all listings are accurate, up-to-date, and well-presented.
    • Assist in creating and updating product descriptions, images, and pricing.

  3. Website Copywriting:

    • Update and edit website content to ensure it reflects the latest offerings and company messaging.
    • Assist in creating engaging and informative copy for service pages, blog posts, and promotional materials.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize content for SEO.

  4. Offline Marketing:

    • Support the distribution of marketing materials, such as flyers and brochures, in targeted locations.
    • Assist in organizing and attending local events, fairs, or meetups to promote Pawkit’s services.
    • Help with other marketing activities as needed to raise brand awareness.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Passion for pets and the pet care industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and familiarity with website management platforms (e.g., WordPress) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
