Customer Service and Marketing Intern with a Passion for Animals / Pets
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service and Marketing Intern to support our day-to-day operations and marketing efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a startup environment, working closely with our team to deliver excellent customer service, manage product listings, update website content, and engage in offline marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Handle customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, providing timely and accurate information about our services.
- Assist customers with booking services and navigating the Pawkit platform.
- Process bookings and ensure all customer details are accurately recorded in our system.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate complex cases to the appropriate team members.
Product Listings:
- Upload and manage product and service listings on the Pawkit website.
- Ensure all listings are accurate, up-to-date, and well-presented.
- Assist in creating and updating product descriptions, images, and pricing.
Website Copywriting:
- Update and edit website content to ensure it reflects the latest offerings and company messaging.
- Assist in creating engaging and informative copy for service pages, blog posts, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize content for SEO.
Offline Marketing:
- Support the distribution of marketing materials, such as flyers and brochures, in targeted locations.
- Assist in organizing and attending local events, fairs, or meetups to promote Pawkit’s services.
- Help with other marketing activities as needed to raise brand awareness.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Passion for pets and the pet care industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and familiarity with website management platforms (e.g., WordPress) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
