Job Description

  • Follow up on the design, fabrication, testing, FAI, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
  • Estimate costs for tooling to quote.
  • Set up and manage Epicor costing and transactions.
  • Provide DFM, Gantt Charts, and follow up with customers to ensure tool approval.
  • Source and procure tools, inserts, and fixtures from suppliers.
  • Obtain and follow up on third-party tooling quotations until project closure.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the manufacturing industry
  • Good communication skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
  • Maintain accurate records of tooling designs, costs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure tooling designs and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry/customer standards.
