About the role:

We are looking for a Finance Intern who thrives in a challenging, exciting and fast-paced start-up environment. He/she should be proactive, organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner. Someone who is independent but also able to collaborate in a team environment. Reporting directly to our Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the finance operations & assisting in the annual statutory audit.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the monthly preparation of Management Accounts 

Review & approve employee claims 

Participate in PolicyPal Group Annual Audit

Ensure invoices of monthly commission statements tally with our database

Process data system entry into spreadsheets

Assist on monthly bank reconciliations

Create invoices for clients, suppliers and partners as needed

Work with the Operations Team to ensure all insurance premiums collected are accounted for

Provide support for any ad-hoc assignments given by Team Leads

Requirements:

A committed team player, self-reliant and responsible

Currently an undergraduate in Accountancy, Business, Finance or its equivalent.

Intermediate or Advanced Knowledge of Excel is ideal, but not a must

Has a fundamental understanding of Principles of Accounting

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Proactive and responsive in delivering high-quality works that support the team and the company

Good interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
