QXY Resources Pte Ltd – Quantity Surveyor Intern

Position Overview:As a Quantity Surveyor Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working alongside seasoned professionals. You will assist in various aspects of cost management, tendering, contract administration, and project monitoring. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to both the technical and commercial aspects of quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
• Support the team in managing project budgets and tracking expenses.
• Help with the preparation and submission of tender documents.
• Participate in site visits and assist in conducting measurements and assessments.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of quantities and cost plans.
• Support in contract administration and procurement processes.
• Help monitor project progress and identify cost-related issues.
• Collaborate with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in the construction industry and quantity surveying.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of QS software (e.g., Bluebeam) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
