Job Description

We are looking to hire an HR Intern (HR Process) to join the Rakuten Asia, People Experience, and Operations team. The intern will document and review HR workflows to identify opportunities to streamline or automate HR processes throughout the entire employee journey, such as Recruitment, Onboarding, Payroll, and Performance Management, while gaining hands-on experience in the HR business environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Workflow Documentation: Collaborate with HR team members to document current HR processes using flowcharts, diagrams and other visual tools, including step-by-step procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas of improvement or process automation and make recommendations.
  • Research: Conduct research on best practices in HR workflow to ensure they remain relevant and improve overall HR service delivery.
  • SOP Development: Develop Standard Operating Procedures for HR processes to ensure consistency and compliance with labour law and organisational policies.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain organised records of all workflow documentation, versioning and related materials.
  • Ad-hoc: Assist with corporate events such as HR workshops, employee engagement activities, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Keen interest in process improvement or optimisation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; proficiency in LucidChart or other form of workflow tool is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act.
  • Organised, insightful, and able to communicate observations well, both written and verbally.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, good organizing skills, and a team player.
  • Cheerful, pleasant personality with good interpersonal and communication skills.
