About Razum International School
Razum International School Singapore (RISS) is newly formed international school in Singapore, serving the international school community. We are proud to provide quality, affordable education to international students. We provide a four hour teaching day from 9am-1pm and hold this as a point of difference that we are proud of. We provide a focused and creative learning environment that specifically grows student understanding in mathematics, literacy, humanities, and science whilst embracing art, music, dance and drama as an important tools in which to explore thinking and learning. By being intentional in our programme, students finish at 1pm, allowing them the time needed for external coaches, training, and programmes, that have otherwise not been accommodated for in extended school days.
Teaching Intern

The Role
Razum International School Singapore is recruiting for a Teaching Intern. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children and teachers. You will be working alongside teaching and administrative staff to assist with roles and tasks that support the delivery of the curriculum. This is perfect role for someone who is currently completing their studies in education.
Main Working Relationships: The Classroom Teacher
The Teaching Intern’s role will be to support and maintain the school culture and environment, working closely with the classroom teacher to support the needs of the classroom.
The Teaching Partner’s role is to support pedagogy
• Have a student-centered pedagogy that supports students in independent and collaborative learning
• Build nurturing relationships with students
• Support structures for assessment; including online, portfolios, data collection, photography, and observational notes
• Provides feedback on student observations
Curriculum:
• Assists with materials preparation and classroom set-up
• Assisting students in reflection and having a classroom approach that ‘asks’ rather than ‘tells’
• Assists with preparing, organising, categorising and maintaining teacher resources.
• Available to support and be available to all primary grades in the school
• Working with staff to support and develop a curriculum progression that builds throughout the grades.
Other projects, duties and responsibilities:
• Having a working knowledge of the Teacher Intern’s professional duties and legal liabilities
• Supervision of students on break and lunch.
• Establishing effective and appropriate relationships with colleagues and parents
• Upholding a high level of presentation and personal and professional conduct
• Collaborating with other staff to ensure resources, experience and personal knowledge benefit of the school and learners
• Any other reasonable request from the Principal or Teaching staff to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description
Qualifications and Experience
• Native/Fluent English speaker
• Currently completing studies in Education or a related field with children
• A good track record, working with students and teachers.
• Experience in elementary grades in international schools is preferred
