Job Description

Associate Engineer, Facilities (12hrs Shift Work Required)


We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Shift Associate Engineer who will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of all facilities systems

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare trend charts from SCADA for all Out of Compliance / Specs incidents
  • Prepare log sheets for daily logging and develop a system to file them.
  • Understand the facilities operations and know the operating systems well so that they can isolate the system or start up the system appropriately. The systems include Electrical, HVAC, PCW, Scrubbers, Exhausts, DI, Chemical, Gas, Life Safety, Fire, & Control systems.
  • Building maintenance and housekeeping of Facilities areas.
  • Assist the Facilities Engineers to implement Engineering changes.
  • Monitor the SCADA and respond appropriately.
  • Assist Facilities Engineer to do Preventive Maintenance of systems.
  • Follow up on all shift pass down activities to ensure that issues are closed and corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment, fire evacuation drills, IPP drills.
  • Supervise contractors work if necessary and ensure that contractors follow the safety procedures.
  • Respond to alarms (e.g. Fire alarm, Life Safety System alarms, etc) and act accordingly to rectify these alarms, to bring any impact to production down to the minimum.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma with at least 2 years relevant experience in Facility Operations Shift work
