Our early-stage ecommerce startup buys, refurbishes and sells electronics online. We are based in Singapore, and our target markets are Singapore and Malaysia. We recently received our first investment and are looking to grow the team! We are looking for a Web Development Intern / Working Student. You have the chance to be one of the first team-members and the first developer in our company. You will work together directly with the founders and experience hands-on how a startup is built. The focus of this position will be on website development (both front end and back end), including the following tasks:
- Developing front end website architecture
- Developing minor back end website applications
- Integrating APIs
- Improving our Shopify online marketplace on an ongoing basis
- Page speed optimization
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs
- Part-time or full-time
- Starting in December, 3-6+ months preferred
Your background
- You are motivated to learn something new in operations / business development and have a hands-on operation method? Great, that’s what we are looking for:
- Motivated person with startup attitude
- Background in Computer Science
- You are already in your master’s degree or close to finishing your bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and Amber.
- You bring along relevant experience from previous internships
- You are ambitions, a team-player and ready to make an impact
- Based in Singapore, business fluent in English
