Job Description
(Program for Poly and Uni Graduates)

We are now seeking dynamic and vibrant young individuals to participate in its highly prestigious and rewarding Luxury Retail Trainee Program.

The Retail Trainee Program is a special initiative by Richemont Luxury Singapore (RLS) to attract graduates from various areas of studies to join us as retail trainees so as to train and develop them to excel in a luxury retail environment. After the successful completion of a course in our Retail Academy in Shanghai, trainees will be selected to work for any of Richemont’s Maisons through a one year bond as a Boutique Sales Representative. The initial assignment would be as Sales Professionals at the boutique.



Enrollment to the program is highly selective and only a handful of trainees will be chosen.



Program Description



The first trainee program will commence on 13th August 2012 and takes place over a period of 4-6 weeks.



The program curriculum will comprise of the following:

-The luxury environment; history, the market and its key players, making a difference in a luxury creation

-The importance of a boutique sales representative to a customer

-The Art of Selling and The Service Attitude



In addition, trainees will be imparted with basic product knowledge such as:

-Watches: the vocabulary, the beauty of a movement, the Art of the Swiss watchmaking

-Diamond, precious stones and gemology

-Leather quality and craftsmanship



Upon returning to Singapore from Shanghai after the training period, the candidate will commence his or her bond with one of our Maisons’ boutiques.



As a Boutique Sales Representative, the successful trainee will be expected to perform the following:

- Sales

- Client Management

- Product/ Merchandise/Inventory Management

- Other duties as stipulated by the management

Requirements



The successful candidate should possess the following:

- Diploma and above (in Retail Management, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Customer Relations Management or any other relevant disciplines)

- Interest in luxury products and strong passion to work in a luxury retail environment

- Tenacity in delivering high levels of customer service and professionalism

- Well groomed with pleasant disposition

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment

- Reliable and independent with an outgoing personality

- Fluent in both English and Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking clientele

- Able to commit wholeheartedly to the full training and 1 year bond period

- Prior customer service experience preferred but not a must
