Job Description

THE ROLE

As our Communications Executive, you’d be the lynchpin of our day-to-day moving parts, and an important team member in ensuring our work can get out of the door. Why? Our senior team, made up of experienced advisors, are heavily involved in advising our clients minute by minute, hour by hour. Minds are flying at lightspeed and creativity abuzz, but we will need a stable rockstar to keep the brilliant team grounded and maintain all the communications fundamentals that feed into the great minds consulting and creating strategies for our clients.

You will get to work with an experienced and nurturing senior team and learn about how we advise companies in building out their corporate stories and in reflecting the corporate stories authentically to the public through various medium and platforms.

 

To be a successful Communications Executive, you must be in the know about the daily news headlines, the latest trends, and the most interesting developments about town. You should be ready to write (and write a lot!!!) because you will support the senior team in developing the right content for the multitude of occasions, platforms, and fast-developing scenarios. We are a team that believes in developing our strategies based on insights and research, and we carry out our work through trusted relationships that we build with our clients, partners and the media, and you will be able to journey with us on this same path.

You should be someone who appreciates the power of storytelling and is passionate about authentically delivering the right messages to the right audience. You would be confident in writing, gets a thrill out of reading the news, thrives on building positive relationships with those whom you work with, and resourceful in solving implementation problems (because…. Murphy’s Law always happens!)

 

WHAT YOUR DAILY WORK CAN LOOK LIKE:

  • Communicate and collaborate with current or prospect clients or content partners
  • Draft and distribute media releases and media kit content
  • Monitor of media coverage on media release that were issued and creating the reports
  • Create and curate engaging content for media releases and/or social media platforms
  • Update of media lists and databases
  • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate various media-related events
  • Perform research and market analysis activities on information required for our communications campaigns and content development
  • (…. And more, because every day can be unpredictable, as today’s world is, and depending on the assignments we are working on, as our clients’ organizations may be going through a business-as-usual, or a world-turned-upside-down kind of season)


REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Degree or higher diploma in public relations, communications, or journalism
  • Prior experience at a PR/Communications agency is an added advantage but fresh graduates may also apply.
  • Excellent understanding of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Efficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interest in the communications industry and its best practices
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
