About Saturday Kids
At Saturday Kids, students don’t just learn to code. They code to learn.
We cannot teach kids everything there is to know. But what we can do is bring out the curiosity in kids, encourage them to look at problems and think “I can figure this out myself”.
Singapore’s first coding school for kids, since 2012 we have taught over 5000 students how to learn through classes in programming, electronics, digital art and design thinking. In addition to awesome holiday camps and weekly classes, we also collaborate with corporates and non-profit organisations to create access to digital literacy for less privileged kids.
Our social mission has taken us to impact kids as far as Cambodia, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. We also run Code in the Community, Singapore’s largest free coding programme for kids from disadvantaged backgrounds. Learn more about our impact.

Job Description
URGENT HIRE! Looking for candidates to work during the Nov/Dec Holiday period!
We are looking for a committed coding instructor who is passionate about inspiring kids through learning. As an instructor, you will facilitate and deliver digital literacy courses and workshops rooted in a play-based pedagogy that guides our proprietary creative coding curriculum.
What You Will Learn
Our instructors love teaching kids and have the ability to connect with their students, creating a culture of creativity, trust and respect that's conducive to real, self-directed learning. They are also confident and up to the challenge of managing a class and facilitating learning experiences that are fun, smooth, and meaningful. Training is provided, but commitment, motivation and the alignment of values is essential.
At Saturday Kids, our end goal is not to churn out a generation of software engineers or developers, but to get kids excited about the potential of technology as creators rather than consumers, and our role is to be their ally in their own journeys of learning and growth.
If you believe that the role of an educator is one of the most important and powerful jobs out there, you're in the right place. At Saturday Kids, we see it as a privilege to be able to impact the lives of kids through digital literacy education, and we're committed to equipping our instructors to deliver learning experiences that are fun, powerful and enriching. Few things make us happier than seeing our instructors have as much fun in class as our kids do.
Our training is designed to equip instructors with knowledge and practice of the following (and more!):
- Classroom management
- Student engagement
- Saturday Kids pedagogy
- Working with children of different ages
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct learning experiences in ways that are fun, interactive, engaging and relevant to your students.
- Provide personalized instruction and guidance to each student.
- Create and uphold a safe culture of learning and growth where every student is respected, comfortable and supported.
- Collaborate where necessary and beneficial with other instructors or assistants, parents, and the Saturday Kids team.
- Commit to scheduled training and feedback sessions.
Job / Skill Requirements
At the bare minimum, applicants should enjoy spending time with kids and have a deep interest in technology and education. Beyond that, here's what we expect from all our instructors:
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Independent, organised, and committed
- Energetic, friendly and patient
- Passion for teaching or education; experience (e.g. as a home tutor, subject clinics, peer tutoring) is a huge bonus.
- Have a strong interest in technology, programming and/or STEM-related fields
- Ability to learn independently and quickly fill knowledge gaps, especially with regard to new technologies and platforms.
We look forward to seeing and welcoming you!
NOTE: WE REQUIRE APPLICANTS TO BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO PARKWAY CENTRE FOR WORK & TO BE AVAILABLE ON WEEKDAYS (MON-FRI)
