Job Description

Job Overview:

Omni directional drives and mobile platforms have proven its advantages in both urban and industrial application area. The project scope is to develop parts up to new concepts of the mechatronic solutions within the Schaeffler Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) program. Current self developed prototypes have capabilities to maneuver efficiently and omni directional in tight space environments. Expected result for this project is to research, improve, build and test new solutions to solve robotic challenges. Furthermore, to improve existing concepts and push technology on a new level. Student interns are expected to support the development of this project.


  • Develop solutions for the Schaeffler AMR
  • Design structural parts in CAD
  • 3D print robotic parts

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Knowledge in 3D CAD software/ design.
  • Knowledge in mobility robot mechatronics systems.
  • Knowledge in mechatronics design calculations.
  • Knowledge in in programming micro controllers (e.g. Arduino).
  • Hands on attitude.
  • 3D printing experiences are beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn new things.
