Job Overview:
As the Industry 4.0 Engineer, you will play an important role to increase penetration and grow Schaeffler's Industry 4.0 Condition Monitoring solution awareness within SG/SEA. You will work closely with Field Service Engineer (FSE) in SG (or other region) to provide technical/marketing/project management support to engage Schaeffler's partners in Singapore. You would be given the opportunity to develop value & engineering based "Application Ready Condition Monitoring Solution" with the understanding of industry's needs/customers pain point.
- Tasked to complete at least (3) Condition Monitoring marketing collaterals which would be shared with SEA customers.
- Marketing collaterals could include industry/application ready solution, value benefits of Schaeffler's I4.0/Condition Monitoring solutions to address customers/sector pain points.
- Liaise with marketing to ensure Branding guidelines are followed.
- Exposure to bearing technology & technical/failure to develop a customer-focused solution-based collateral.
- Gain valuable industry knowledge through interaction with Partners; understand customer's pain points and provide value proposition to develop the marketing collateral.
- Provide technical, project management support to Key Partners to increase penetration of Schaeffler's Condition Monitoring Solution. Knowledge of OPTIME, Smartcheck, Prolink integration with PLC for automation, developing suitable demo kits, setting up of PLC with Schaeffler's solution etc.
- Key support to Field Support Engineer in the Sales, Technical, Project Management activities.
- Develop engineering-based sales pitch, understand how Schaeffler's solution integrates with PLC as part of customer's Predictive Maintenance Strategy.
- Opportunity to design & develop demo units pending project requirement.
- On-site troubleshooting/commissioning. Schaeffler will provide PPE & ensure relevant safety training are provided for site visit requirement.
- Lead presentation to display a certain degree of technical/product understanding.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Formal tertiary education with technical/engineering background is a must. Knowledge in automation/PLC will be beneficial.
- Minimum commitment of 3 months from July 2022.
- Know-how on computer interfacing, data communication via ethernet, internet, GSM, modem is a plus.
- Knowledge on bearings or vibration is good to have, but not a pre-requisite.
- Interest in technical-cum-value selling writing.
- Proactive & positive attitude to learn, hands-on and down to earth to work closely with Key Partners in Singapore/cross-department to bring projects/sales to fulfilment.
