KidsSTOP™, the Children’s Science Centre focuses on enriching children aged 18 months to 8 years through purposeful and interactive play to spark an interest in science. Children get to Imagine, Experience, Discover and Dream at this one-of-its-kind edu-tainment centre in Singapore. Occupying approximately 3,000 sqm, our exhibits and galleries are also designed to promote and foster parent-child bonding through interactive activities and programmes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, developing and conducting of the following to pre-schoolers:
- Facilitated classroom-based programmes on various Science topics using creative drama and interactive hands-on activities
- Shows and hands-on activities at KidsSTOP™
- Assist in the development and fabrication of teaching resources and materials.
- Ensure good classroom management during the delivery of programmes and promote a safe and exciting learning environment by imparting positive values and encouraging good playing habits, interaction and participation.
- Involve in interactive and quality floor interaction to engage visitors and imparting of basic science concepts to visitors
- Acquire information and knowledge from educators, other professionals or advisers to keep abreast of developments in the delivery methods of science concepts to young children and early childhood pedagogy.
- Report all faulty exhibits to the relevant personnel.
- Perform weekend duties (Saturday or Sunday) and other duties as directed.
Requirements :
Preferably have a background in Early Childhood Education, Applied Psychology & Drama and/or Science. Have a cheerful and out-going disposition. Loves working with children. Well -spoken in English with an interest in Science. Able to work on weekends (either Saturday or Sunday) and public holidays.
