About our group:

The Multi Disc Writer (MDW) and Multi Disk Spiral Write (MDSW) Product & Process team plays a pivotal role in the final stage of our media manufacturing process. Our expertise is instrumental in ensuring operational efficiency and delivering media products with high servo quality to meet our diverse customer needs. Our commitment to innovation drives us to continually enhance our processes and meet the ever-evolving demands of both our internal Hard Disk Drive operations and our esteemed external clientele. 

About the role - you will:

As an Intern collaborate closely with seasoned Product and Process Engineers. Your role will be instrumental in advancing our software and data analysis capabilities, providing critical support in: 

  • Developing and refining processes for new media designs, heads, and methodologies on MDW & MDSW platforms. Implementing data analysis and process optimization using advanced programming tools (Python, MATLAB, etc.). 
  • Participating in comprehensive failure analysis and engineering investigations to improve yield and efficiency. 
  • Contributing to projects aimed at cost reduction, optimizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and enhancing our product's time-to-market.

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing in a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering fields. 
  • Demonstrable experience with programming (Python, Matlab , SQL, etc.). 
  • Solid understanding of Six Sigma principles and robust data analysis capabilities, with a knack for data science.

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work. Here at work, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks at our onsite canteen and coffee shop. We offer a range of facilities including an in-house gym and dance studio, as well as after-work badminton and table tennis competitions.
