About Our Group
Seagate's Read Channel technology development organization develops ASIC Read Channel Chip to provide high performance in Data integrity for Hard Disk Drives (HDD). The development requires understanding the Mixed signal Analog and Digital electronics to provide optimized solution for Certification and Reliability for HDD.
About the Role – You will:
- Work with Seagate engineers evaluate Read Channel error correction capability
- Track the Channel performance in different Manufacturing process
- Use of high speed interface for all measurement in the lab
- Assist Read Channel error recovery teams on Data integrity optimization.
About You
- Knowledge in read channel, magnetic recording components.
- Knowledge of recording subsystems including heads, media and Read channel
- Knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes,
- Process knowledge of Programming language C, Matlab, Python is an added advantage.
- A successful candidate should have strong teamwork qualities as well as communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Your Experience Includes:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Electrical and or Electronics Engineering
- Some/moderate/significant/extensive relevant experience
- Charting skills using Microsoft Excel
- Python, Matlab and C programming
- Experience with automation of data acquisition
- Bachelors and/or equivalent experience
You May Also Have:
- Some additional experience/knowledge would be an advantage.
- Experience representing a multinational corporation
- Worked with larger scale corporations
