The Seagate Internal Communications team in Asia consists of a proficient and highly skilled group of professionals who work closely with all Asian Site Leads and management teams, as well as with various functions management across the organization.

The team is made up of communication experts located at Asia sites, including Korat and Teparuk in Thailand, Wuxi in China, Singapore, and Pune in India, as well as support for remote sites such as Japan and Australia. With a strong sense of camaraderie, the team collaborates closely to ensure alignment and best practices. 

In essence, the Asia Pacific internal communication team plays a critical role in ensuring that Seagate's strategy and values are effectively communicated, thereby enabling smooth and efficient global operations.

We seek a dynamic and motivated Internal Communications Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will have one to three years of experience in internal communications, preferably within a corporate environment. 

As part of the team based out of Singapore, you will be responsible for supporting the Internal Communications Manager in executing various internal communication strategies and tactics.


You will collaborate with site leads, site management and other departments to develop and deliver engaging internal communications initiatives that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives. 

Job Description

You will: 

  • Help develop and implement internal communication strategies, issues and crisis communication plans and site activities in two countries and five sites: Singapore (Woodlands, Shugart at One-North) and Malaysia (Johor, Seremban, and Penang).

  • Collaborate with Site Leads, site leadership teams other departments to ensure that internal communication messages are consistent and aligned with organizational goals 

  • Draft internal communication materials, including internal announcements, festive messages, e-newsletters, and presentations. 

  • Support the management of the sites’ internal news platforms, digital displays, and internal social media tools. 

  • Be a meticulous and creative content aggregator and conduct research on internal communication trends and best practices. 

  • Preferably be comfortable working with SharePoint, design software such as Canva or demonstrate a willingness to pick up new software skills 

  • Manage/execute a carefully curated calendar of Community Engagement events and research new volunteering opportunities that align with the company’s community engagement values.

  • Assist in the coordination of internal events, including quarterly onsite/virtual town hall meetings, robust company recreational activities, and other corporate event initiatives 

  • Able to travel, about 10%, between Singapore and Malaysia sites might be needed

 

About You:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills 

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines 

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required 

  • A self-starter with a passion for internal communication

 

Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field 

  • 1-2 years of experience in internal communications or a related field 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders 

  • Knowledge of internal communication best practices and trends 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other internal communication tools and platforms
