Job Description

About the Division

SG Enable's Service Development/Lifelong Learning Division aims to enhance the employment and employability of persons with disabilities. By collaborating with other divisions and stakeholders, we provide diverse lifelong learning opportunities tailored to individuals' needs, fostering personal growth and professional development. The division also focuses on upskilling the network of support, including employers and caregivers, to strengthen support systems for individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, we work to promote accessibility and inclusion among training providers, ensuring equal access to education and training opportunities for all. Through these efforts, SD/LL strives to create a more inclusive society where individuals with disabilities can thrive.

Project Description

The intern will be part of the strategy team focused on lifelong learning. The primary goal of this internship is to support the scaling of the Enabling Skill and Competencies Framework (ESCF) adoption among individuals with disabilities, caregivers, disability sector professionals, and employers. The intern will play a crucial role in facilitating this process by assisting with outreach efforts, developing user-friendly tools and guidelines, and handling general administrative tasks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Outreach and Engagement:

  • Assist in developing and implementing outreach strategies to target the identified stakeholder groups.
  • Support in organizing workshops, webinars, and other engagement activities.
  • Help in creating promotional materials and social media content to raise awareness about the SCF.

Tool and Guideline Development:

  • Contribute to the development of user-friendly tools and guidelines to simplify the SCF adoption process.
  • Assist in creating templates, checklists, and other resources to support stakeholders in utilizing the SCF effectively.

Administrative Support:

  • Handle general administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, managing emails, and maintaining records.
  • Provide support in data entry and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills: The ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
  • Proficiency in technology: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), create form to develop survey tools, canva design and other relevant software is required.
  • Passion for social impact: A genuine interest in promoting inclusion and accessibility for individuals with disabilities is crucial.
  • Attention to detail: The ability to work accurately and efficiently, even under pressure, is essential.
  • Team player: The intern should be a collaborative team player, willing to contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
