Shadee.Care is a youth charity with IPC status, registered with MOH. We focus on everything that’s trending with youths to bring about social, emotional wellness and to encourage early help seeking and intervention for youth’s online and in community spaces.

Job Description

Job Highlights

  • Work on trendy and exciting youth outreach campaigns, projects and events such as Cosplay Festival, E-sports, Kpop etc. 
  • Work remotely and at various youth spaces.
  • Contribute to the well-being of young people by befriending and mentoring them
  • Part-time or project basis leading to full-time employment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage, interact with and mentor youths in events and online
  • Conceptualise, plan and conduct community out-reach activities to create awareness on mental-wellness and promote early help seeking.
  • Develop and conduct enrichment workshops for social emotional learning.
  • Facilitate group sessions online and off-line, mentor, counsel and manage group dynamics to achieve the stated objectives.
  • Identify and assess psycho-social health status for escalation.
  • Work with other mental-health personals in providing interventions to individuals where necessary.
  • Grow community engagement by working with Institutions of learning, youth organisations, partners and stakeholders.
  • Documentation, report writing and program evaluation

 

Personnel Requirement

  • Enjoy working with youths and familiar with the latest Gen Z, Millennial trends.
  • Interest in Gen Z activities such as Cosplay, Kpop, Dance, Gaming, etc
  • Independent, responsible and self-motivated, while able to work in a team.
  • Outgoing personality with strong inter-personal and communication skills, preferably familiar with online youth lingo.
  • Knowledge and experience in mentoring or counselling youths.
  • Savvy with social media, online communication and IT.
  • Creative and adventurous. Able to conceptualise and conduct novel activities that trends with Gen Z’s and Millennials
  • Able to liase and coordinate with leaders of partnering organisations and Institutions
  • Able to work on weeknights and weekends where required.


Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma level in counselling, youth related studies or any relevant field of study.
  • Experience in working with teenagers or young adults either as a volunteer, placement or job.
  • Experience or involvement in relevant Gen Z activities such as Dance(Street), Cosplay, Gaming (Discord), TikTok, or have been in groups such as NYC, YouthCorp would be preferred.
