Shing Leck Engineering Service Pte Ltd – Digitalization and System Integration Associate

During the internship program, the selected candidate can expect to be entrusted with a wide spectrum of responsibilities and practical work that may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work with the Mechanical Department in assigned areas to perform engineering operational duties such as preparing of tenders/quotations, attending site visits to gather job scope requirements, forecast manpower and resource needs.
• Through site visits and observation, propose productivity Improvement opportunities and recommend remediation steps to close productivity gaps at site/workshop.
• Assist Risk and Safety Team in preparation, tabulation and reporting of safety data to internal management and relevant government agencies.
• Through actual site visits, understand and learn about the mechanics and refining process in live plants. In the process, assist management with the establishment of an Industrial Data Capture Roadmap to serve as the foundation for Machine Learning. This means potential research into data mining techniques of unstructured data sources from industrial complex related equipment (subject to site access).
• Get to work with world-class engineers and participate in the six-month long mentorship program.
• Gain deep exposure and obtain practical experiences of working in the Singapore oil and gas & chemicals industry.
  • Be part of the Company’s core team to implement a large-scale digital workflow system. Project management responsibilities include:
  • Liaise with the nominated systems integrator (A*Star and SIMTech)
  • Migration of historical data from various sources into the new system
  • Report project status to management
  • Conduct testing and user acceptance of the new system
  • Support system troubleshooting and quality analysis
  • Support data analysis and validation
  • Documentation of work processes and procedures for the implemented digital workflow system.
  • Under direct senior management’s supervision, embark on data clean ups of the Company’s paper and electronic work trails and perform the data migration exercise, into company’s selected cloud-storage platform
  • Gain exposure to Company’s newly implemented Inventory Management system and assist with the tracking of new equipment onboarding, equipment expiration and store transfers.
  • Assist management team with methodically archiving signature project works based on an internally aligned framework. Present showcase projects in engaging graphical detail.
• Assist IT management team establish Mobile Management Device (MDM) Protocols for Company’s smartphone and tablets.
