We are looking for not just a developer, but also an engineer, a designer and a builder who creates great user experiences for thousands of people every day. As an application engineer, you will lead engineering projects on both our consumer-facing web application and our internal administration applications. You will own everything related to the running of operations at ShopBack, and build features to empower our growing sales, marketing, and customer service teams. You will also help design and implement beautiful user interfaces for our web application.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing and reviewing application code
- Documenting and testing the systems you help build
- Suggest and implement user experience improvements
- Coordinating with engineering leadership to define and prioritise engineering projects
- Working with support to triage and debug technical support requests
- Comfortable working in PHP
- Familiarity with all aspects of MVC web applications
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with VCS workflows and processes
- Solid knowledge of testing principles
- Strong relational database knowledge
- Client-side performance and optimization
- Attention to detail and demonstrable design and UX sensibilities
