Job Description

Job Title:  Applications Engineering Intern (Based in Singapore)        

The Role:

Develop infrastructure modules for IC Validation system including support for new bench measurement equipment. Support applications engineering team in developing firmware for MCU starter kits. 

Responsibilities:

·         Generate example MCU firmware and PC software to demonstrate device usage.

·         Develop Python modules to control bench equipment

·         Generate technical documentation for written code and designs

·         Debug hardware boards.

·         Participates in chip design validation.

·         Actively works with customers on design activities.

 

Education and/or Experience:

·         Should currently be studying for a degree (or Master’s) in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

·         Ability to troubleshoot and debug firmware and software

·         Knowledge of proper and effective use of lab test equipment

·         General analog and digital circuit analysis skills

·         Good written and verbal communication skills

·         Able to understand schematics and layout

·         Embedded systems background or course work

·         C programming skills

 

DesirableSkills and Abilities:

·         Familiarity with circuit-level (PCB) design and schematic capture

·         Understand systems, circuits and devices

·         Ability to troubleshoot and debug systems, circuits, and devices

·         Python programming skills

·         Knowledge of software programming tools

·         Familiarity with 8-bit or 16-bit assembly language
