Job Description

Are you skilled at navigating the social media landscape and creating impactful campaigns? As the Manager (Marketing & Communications) at SAM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how audiences discover and connect with contemporary art. This role focuses on leveraging your expertise in social media marketing, storytelling, and campaign management to drive SAM's brand and community growth. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, you will champion SAM's social media presence while supporting broader marketing initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the vibrancy of Singapore's arts scene by delivering campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.

  1. Social Media Strategy & Management 
  • Lead the development, execution, and optimisation of SAM's social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the museum's objectives.
  • Act as the custodian for SAM's social media channels, ensuring engaging, high-quality content that fosters community growth.
  • Oversee daily social media operations, including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement.
  • Manage relationships with social media agencies, ensuring effective collaboration to achieve engagement and reach targets.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies.

Integrated Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns for exhibitions, programmes, and events, incorporating storytelling to engage audiences.
  • Manage marketing and communications collaterals, ensuring alignment across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Plan and execute media events, including press conferences, familiarisation tours, press releases, and media advisories.

Strategic Partnerships & Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including media partners, the Singapore Tourism Board, and other international organisations, to expand SAM's reach.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Development, Learning) to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.

Agency & Budget Management 

  • Oversee the work of social media and creative agencies to achieve strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with media buying and PR agencies for seamless campaign execution.
  • Manage campaign budgets, ensuring efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in social media marketing and communications, with a proven track record in managing campaigns and collaborating with agencies.
  • Expertise in social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.) and emerging trends.
  • Strong proficiency in digital marketing, including content marketing and performance analysis. Familiarity with CRM tools and campaign measurement techniques.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Interest in or knowledge of contemporary art and the arts and culture sector is highly advantageous.
  • Strong storytelling and content creation abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Proven project management capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
