Hearty Care Centre (HCC), a division of Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services, is an educational cum family service centre set up in 1994 to serve the local community in Geylang Bahru and its vicinity.

After 20 years of service, HCC was relocated to our current premises in Fu Hui Link community hub located at 19, Compassvale Walk in 2015, to serve the needs of the local community in Sengkang.

Job Description

Full Time & Part Time Available

Part-Time Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 12.30pm to 6.30pm 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide homework supervision and guidance for P1 – P6 students
  • Evaluating and assessing students’ works and providing feedback to them
  • Plan and conduct enrichment activities
  • Maintain disciplinary management of students’ behaviour
  • Mentor primary students (P1 – P6) and prepare students’ progress reports
  • Plan and conduct holiday activities and outings, prepare materials needed
  • Maintain close relationships with parents and provides regular feedbacks to them on students’ academic progress and behavioural management
  • In charge of Centre’s library books and Reading Quest activities / resources; OR
  • In-charge of Centre’s stock inventory and requisition of stationery / daily supplies / first aid items; OR
  • In charge of Centre’s administrative functions
  • Plan, prepare and facilitate Centre’s festive celebrations / activities (Termly)
  • Handle public enquiries and coordinate with external parties / vendors on Centre’s programme & activities
  • Routine core duties (fetch students from school / pick up points, supervision of students during showering time and meals, monitor students during E-Learning and interactive time)
  • Any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum ‘O’ Level or above
  • Related work experience in the education/tuition industry
  • Passion for children and enjoys teaching and guiding them
  • Good team player with interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good in Microsoft Office (Words, Excels, PowerPoint)
