Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) was established in 1964 and has been actively serving the community for more than 57 years. SCS was registered as a Society in 1984 and accorded IPCs (Institution of a Public Character) status as a charity in 1995 by the Ministry of Health (MOH). SCS is a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), a founding member of the Singapore Hospice Council (SHC), and a member of the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC). Being self-funded, the Society is dependent on donations to provide quality services to needy cancer patients, their families, and members of the public.
Purpose of the Role:
The role is to support the event team in Community Partnership (CP) Department in all its duties. This includes but not limited to liaising with donors, preparing reports, ensuring data integrity and entering data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in administrative duties relating to the event
- Source for quotations and liaise with suppliers and vendors related to the event
- Manage the event general enquiry email account
- Conceptualise and prepare the marketing materials for the event
- Source for new partners and donors for the event.
- Performing donation data entry onto the IT system
- Assist in preparing letters, forms and other correspondence as required
- Email/phone correspondence with donors and participants
- Ensuring data integrity before donors’ information is input into the IT system
- Working with volunteers to ensure the event run smoothly
