Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) was established in 1964 and has been actively serving the community for more than 57 years. SCS was registered as a Society in 1984 and accorded IPCs (Institution of a Public Character) status as a charity in 1995 by the Ministry of Health (MOH). SCS is a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), a founding member of the Singapore Hospice Council (SHC), and a member of the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC). Being self-funded, the Society is dependent on donations to provide quality services to needy cancer patients, their families, and members of the public.
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Department, you will assist with the Youth Engagement Programmes and HPV catch up cohort project. You will assist the project team to conceptualize, plan and implement the various social campaigns and award ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities:
Youth Engagement
- Plan media campaigns/ activities to engage and educate youths on cancer
- Conceptualise and plan youth programmes such as workshops and award ceremonies
- Serve as client to student project teams and provide advice
1. Tertiary Student Marketing and Communications Projects
- Plan and coordinate the SCS interschool competition
- Assist with ad-hoc student’s projects
2. Uniform Groups/Preschool/ Primary/ Secondary school engagement
- To liaise and follow up with the teachers for school talks
- Liaise and coordinate with vendor
- Coordinate on the student’s projects
3. HPV Catch Up Cohort
- Coordinate and liaise with schools for roadshow/ off site vaccination
- Reaching out to GPs

- Help to answer phone calls for events registrations and taking other queries
