Singapore Children’s Society protects and nurtures children and youth of all races and religions. In 2022, the Society reached out to 21,559 children, youth and families in need. Established in 1952, its services have evolved to meet the changing needs of children.
Today, Children’s Society operates more than 10 service centres islandwide, offering services in the four categories of: Vulnerable Children and Youth, Children and Youth Services, Family Services, and Research and Advocacy.
The Advocacy Intern will be attached to the Research and Advocacy Department. The intern will help with projects that the RAD undertakes, and will be exposed to public education, advocacy and research in a social service setting. These projects evolve around themes, such as child abuse and neglect prevention, child participation, children mental well-being and positive parenting. The intern is also expected to work alongside the team in organising events for both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Undergrad in mass communication and other related fields are welcome.
- Has good writing skills and possesses a strong ability in promotional and publicity campaign work.
- Has a flair for marketing and publishing on social media platforms and content generation.
- Has a heart for social causes and issues faced by children, youth and their families.
- Knowledge of basic design work, e.g. infographics, illustration, simple video and sound editing, is a plus
Work Arrangement:
