Brief Overview:
The Global Sales & Origination, SGROA team consists of Singapore, Thailand, Middle East, Taiwan and Korea sales. We are responsible for Sales and distribution of SGX’s suite of products and services across all asset classes and are directly responsible for all of SGX’s client relationships in the above regions.
Learning Objectives:
The selected intern could gain
- High understanding of all products and businesses of SGX
- Appreciation of international sales & marketing, including client acquisition and account management
- Preparation of marketing pitches and event management
- Market research and data analyst/reporting
- Hands on experience with information providers such as Bloomberg.
As an intern with SGROA, you will support Singapore and Rest of Asia sales in marketing and business development efforts
- Client Acquisition: Identifying suitable client leads and assisting sales team in reaching out to these leads
- Research and Analysis: Collecting and analysing SGX business related data from Bloomberg, other exchange websites, desktop searches which can be used, among others, to perform market sizing analysis for the respective regions
- Pre-sales & Post-Sales: Preparation of sales pitches as well as assisting sales team with follow ups after client meetings
- Sales Support: Maintain and update client database and contacts
- Event support: Support the planning and logistics of marking events (e.g. Seminars, Webinars and etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
MUST:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Be able to multitask and work independently
- Proficiency in Business Chinese is plus
- Commit full-time to a 6 months period
