Job Description

What You’ll Do

·       The selected candidate will engage in an internship as an analyst working on 2-3 projects in parallel. You will join a team of data analysts who design, build and possibly deploy descriptive/predictive/prescriptive analytics models. You will be involved in writing codes in programming languages (R, Python) and using analytics tools for project deliverables (Tableau, ArcGIS, SPSS etc.), in order to support model development. You will also get a chance be exposed to other phases of projects, to have a better understanding of operation flows in the organisation.

·       Mentorship and guidance will be provided in managing projects in the clinical setting, where you will develop understanding of protocols that support the running of a medical institution. 

Key Requirements

You need to be self-motivated with a passion in data analytics. You will also need to be capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently. You should be expressive of your ideas and actively participate in project brainstorming sessions.

·       Undergraduate/Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Information Systems or equivalent

·       Conversant in programming skills such as Python, R or similar

·       Knowledge in business intelligence/ analytics tools such as Tableau, OBIEE, ArcGIS, SPSS, SAS, Matlab, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc.

·       Understanding of concepts on descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics. Knowledge on predictive modelling, machine learning, data science, statistics, optimisation and system information. Experience in working with large database is preferred.

·       Good analytical, communication and presentation skills

·       Good interpersonal skills
