6-Month Internship - Software Developer for Shape Memory Properties Calculation in 4D Printing
Company Overview: The Additive Manufacturing division at SIMTech (Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology) focuses on cutting-edge research and development in the field of additive manufacturing technologies.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team for a 6-month internship. The primary responsibility of the intern will be to develop a software or platform aimed at calculating the key shape memory properties of polymers for 4D printing generative design applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement algorithms to calculate shape memory properties of polymers.
- Design and build a user-friendly software or platform for property calculation.
- Collaborate with researchers to integrate software into existing workflows.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or related programming languages for software or platform development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with 3D printing and materials science concepts (preferred but not required).
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
