Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Part of the fun & dynamic Social Enterprise (SE) team members to manage the operations at the Red Cross Shop to achieve fundraising targets, and sustain the social enterprise to support the Singapore Red Cross' mission in serving the vulnerable community. Red Cross Shop is a part of SRC’s Resource Development (RD) department, which fundraises and generates revenue through social enterprises.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operations & Marketing

● Implement seasonal sales, pop-ups/outreach and online sales mechanisms such as livestreams to drive sales and increase customers’ footfalls.

● Contribute to the growth and development of the shops by supporting and implementing business ideas, and securing and increasing corporate donors.

● Assist in the curation as well as marketing and publicity of the Shop, including publicising stocks, location, and recognising corporate, group and individual fundraisers.

● Teamwork with staff / volunteers in managing the shop’s operations and internal and stakeholders such as in-store inventory management, retail platforms and business development.

● Maintain the shop protocols and SOPs such as ensuring compliance to financial and administrative requirements in handling the shop sales and inventory process.

2. Donor-in-kind Management

● Source for donations in-kind with new and existing donors / partners

● Build and maintain close ties with donor / partners, and ensure all collections are completed promptly and in a timely manner

● Collection and issuance of donated items, including the documentation, recording and safe-keeping

● Manage the daily schedule of donation pickups with the logistician(s)

● Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Admin and Volunteer Management for logistical and volunteer support

3. Any Other Duties

● Handle feedback and enquiries for matters pertaining to the shop.

● Undertake and support any other assignments required by RD Dept.


Job Requirements:

Qualification

● Undergoing studies for Certificate/Diploma in Marketing, Events Management, Retail Management, Social Enterprises or equivalent

Skills and Knowledge

● Good communications and interpersonal skills, able to relate and work well with people of diverse backgrounds

● Customer oriented, Self motivated, independent, resourceful, meticulous, honest and reliable

● Digitally-savvy and interested in social enterprises and events management
