Job Description

Working with a large team of dynamic individuals in the training section and administrative section, the Academy Intern - Centre for First Aid and Life Support (CFALS) Training & Administration Executive Intern will assist with the execution of courses and events for the Centre’s range of learners in various industries ranging from workplace safety and health industries, education institutes and healthcare. The internship will gain a good understanding of the event planning and implementation of training courses in the first aid and life support industry with a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.


JOB PURPOSE 

● Project Manager of a capstone project under CFALS - Total Defence Project.

● Assistant to conduct CFALS training with experienced CFALS Instructors.

● Performs Customer Relationship Management by interacting with our existing and potential learners by establishing a delightful experience.

● Assist the internal corporate administrator in the full spectrum of pre course and post course administration within internal departments, including logistical needs of selected courses.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operations

1.1. Conducts training assignments as scheduled by Course Scheduler.

1.2. Provides support to overall CFALS projects and events such as community outreach activities.

1.3. Handles the post course and workshop administration such as attendance, evaluation and certification.

1.4. Manages the administrative and logistical needs for the internal corporate run and micro-learning courses.

2. Any Other Duties

2.1. Perform basic office duties.

2.2. To comply with SRC ISO 29993 requirements.

2.3. To fulfil or contribute towards attaining the ISO 29993 objectives.


Job Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATION

3. General Qualities and Qualifications of Applicants

3.1. Possess minimally a GCE ‘O” certificate.

3.2. Singaporeans, SPRs or foreigners are welcomed.

3.3. Applicants who completed their Year 2 or Year 3 of their studies are preferred.

3.4. The students should be enthusiastic and responsible with a positive attitude towards a variety of work assignments.

3.5. An interest in customer relationship management will enhance their enjoyment during the internship programme.

3.6. Undergoing Provider and Instructor courses will be part of the internship period. Interns are required to pass from the respective courses.

4. Duration of Internship

4.1. This internship is preferably for a period of minimum 3 months up to 6 months.

5. Working Hours

5.1. Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 6.00pm (1-hour lunch break)

5.2. Time-Offs: If scheduled to work on weekends, appropriate time-offs will be given to rest on weekdays.

5.3. Interns are encouraged to adjust their working schedule to support ad-hoc programmes or events, e.g. Community CPR+AED Training on an occasional weekend basis and should prioritise this internship over other commitments related to CCAs.

6. Additional skills and knowledge

6.1. Good command of both spoken and written English.

6.2. Excellent computer literacy; in the use of Words, Excel and PowerPoint.

6.3. As some of our customers are Mandarin-speaking, knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
