Singrow Pte Ltd is an Agri-tech start-up with own IP proprietary seedling and novel Agri-technologies farming spanning all aspects from breeding, cultivation, pollination, crop monitoring to harvesting (with AI-assisted robotics, IoT and data analytics). We develop vertical farming in neutralizing carbon footprint, year-round supply, premium taste, no pesticides and promoting socials.

Job Description

What you'll do

  • Explore new ideas to improve crop quality and yield through literature review and other resources
  • Conduct crop maturity assessment, crop quality assessment, and crop harvesting logistics 
  • Design and conduct experiments to determine the effects of growing conditions on plant growth and expand crop recipes for our partner farms
  • Monitor, record, investigate and identify problems with plant growth in the lab as well as the farm 
  • Perform farm operations (seeding, transplanting, harvesting), basic lab operations (sampling and analysis), and managing laboratory
  • Report and assist CTO in on-going and ad hoc projects 

What you'll need

  • Minimum Diploma or ITE in Data Analytics or Computer Science 
  • Experience in Agriculture or related fields will be beneficial 
  • Experience in leading daily operation and research management of a technology-farm in a controlled environment with experience in remote sensing preferred.
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Good coordination / project management skills
  • Able to plan and execute experiments with minimal supervision
  • Able to take initiative to improve processes and troubleshoot problems
  • Able to organize well and adhere to deadlines
  • Preferably have experience or interest in farming or gardening environment
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision 
  • Full-time interns 3 - 6 months required
