The Job
Depending on experience, the incumbent will fill the role of Debate Coach (“Coach”) in the Division for Debating Services.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Support Our Client in areas where quality is to be delivered collectively by both in-house Coaches and Customer Service teams.
- Report to the Business Development (“BD”) Lead who provides overall job objectives.
- Be a part of the collective team to develop Our Client's growth in the debating industry.
- Constantly update and demonstrate substantial technical knowledge of debating as well as possess good command of English.
- To conduct online and physical lessons.
- To enable students to understand and apply debating skills such as argumentative and rebuttal skills, logical reasoning, information research and collection.
- To enable students to learn social and emotional competencies, and 21st Century Competencies during their training and preparation for competitions.
- To collaborate with the Customer Service team to bring feedback to parents.
Ideal Candidate
Skills Required:
- Someone with recognizable enthusiasm and dedication in debating.
- Diploma & above or highly experienced Coaches with proven track record in debating.
- Fluent in English in order to be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region.
- Should have at least 2 years of experience in teaching children/students preferably in debating or public speaking domains.
- Preferably MOE-registered educators.
- Preferably have experience in training school teams for debate competitions.
- Preferably have debated or been an adjudicator in debate competitions in Singapore and/or internationally.
- You are passionate about teaching.
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard.
- You are a self-starter and demonstrate a high level of resilience.
