The Job

Key responsibilities areas :

• Mentor writers and manage project deadlines effectively
• Brainstorm ideas with writers and write content articles
• Approve and commission article ideas
• Attend media tasting/ industry networking
• Rewriting, editing, proofreading and subbing copy to ensure it is ready for publishing
• Provide feedback and guidance to writers
• Ensuring that all articles comply with ethical codes of practice and legal guidelines
• Ensure team discipline to set and deliver content project deadlines as well as KPIs
• Keeping track of team’s performance, focused on article views
• Providing solutions to management for improvement of workflow

The Profile

Key competencies :

• A recognized Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Literature/ Mass Communications / Journalism or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years professional experience in content writing/editing
• You’re a foodie – Good knowledge and exposure to local food culture and heritage
• Positive personality to offer solutions to problems
• Good photographic eye and creative thinking
• Extremely detail-oriented to spot grammar and formatting mistakes
• Perfect grammar and spelling
• Experience managing and organizing a team’s workflow
• Familiarity digital writing practices (SEO, formats, headline/ body lengths)
• Caring nature for the company and your team
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in digital media space
