The Job

Our client is looking to hire an Investment Analyst to join our fast-growing team in Singapore for a 3 to 6-month internship. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates who are passionate about venture capital, startups, and innovation. Over the course of 3-6 months, you will gain hands-on experience in deal sourcing, market research, and investment analysis while working closely with our investment team.

As an Investment Analyst Intern, you will work on identifying and evaluating high-potential startups, building relationships with founders, and supporting the investment decision-making process. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical and communication skills while gaining exposure to the venture capital ecosystem.

This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture capital and contribute to impactful investment decisions. Outstanding performance during the internship may lead to full-time opportunities within the firm.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deal Sourcing: Proactively source investment opportunities through outbound efforts.
• Startup Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with startup founders and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on industries, markets, and trends to identify high-potential investment areas.
• Due Diligence: Support the investment team in evaluating startups, including financial analysis, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
• Event Participation: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to source deals and stay updated on market trends.
• Reporting: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports to support decision-making processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members to refine sourcing strategies and contribute to the overall investment pipeline.

Ideal Candidate

• You have a Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier university.
• You have at least 1 year of experience working in a Venture Capital, Private Equity, top-tier Consulting, or Investment Banking firm, with a preference for prior Venture Capital experience.
• You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial data, market trends, and business models.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with founders and stakeholders.
• You have a strong interest in new technologies and the startup ecosystem.
