The Job

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the site as a technical point of contact for incidents and escalations.
• Lead a team of data center shift technicians in returning systems to production.
• Implement global standards and workflows at the local data center site.
• Mentor and develop technicians for daily operations with minimal supervision.
• Manage server upgrades, integration, and automated OS provisioning.
• Debug network, hardware, and Linux OS issues.
• Contribute to global DC knowledge base documentation.
• Drive specifications for tooling and automation for hardware deployment.
• Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, replace faulty components.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a positive team environment.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

• Strong server hardware knowledge and experience.
• Minimum 8+ years of data center technician experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a team.
• Proficiency in failure analysis and tracking server fleet health.
• Experience with IPMI utilization and software tools.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Network troubleshooting skills.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT, CCNA, or MCP/MSCE are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and wear personal protective gear.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform precise movements for extended periods.
