The Job

You will be responsible for:

• Analyze and understand requirements and user stories to identify required test scenarios, test cases, and test data that will ensure complete test coverage
• Able to analyze applications based on the current behavior of the application where documentation or feature requirements does not exist
• Execute quality assurance test scenarios/test cases. Ensure that the developed functionality satisfies the requirements and aligns with business specifications
• Find issues through systematic and/or adhoc testing, troubleshooting. Provide detailed defect reports and effectively communicate status of issues and its risks in a precise and timely manner
• Able to work together with software developers to enhance the product and fix all reported issues
• Understand problems from customer’s perspective and able recommend improvements to enhance user experience
• Ensure the quality of the product under test to prevent issues from reaching customers, and make an effort to improve the quality and efficiency of testing through process enhancement
• Thorough understanding of the defect life-cycle process and industry standard defect tracking tools
• Able to work independently on projects / Ability to self-manage
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups and retrospective meeting 

Ideal Candidate

Skills Required:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related fields
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle Process (SDLC) and QA methodology
• Knowledge and experience in analyzing Software Requirement Specification and identifying the required test scenarios
• Good team player, passion on learning new technology, approaches, and test tools
• Meticulous attention to details and strong desire to deliver a quality software experience
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mind-set
• 1 to 2 years’ experience on software testing will be an advantage
• Experience work with auto test framework – selenium, Knowledge of scripting language – Python will be an advantage
