The Job

Our client is looking for a Video Editor to join the team.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Working collaboratively with video producers and other key stakeholders to create high-quality video content.
• Performing the full range of editing works from splicing to sound balancing to color correction and color grading.
• Organizing and managing all audio and video assets to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list.
• Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
• Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.
• Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
• Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
• Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
• Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
• Creating the final cut for broadcasting.

Ideal Candidate

Skills required:

• You possess a bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
• You have 3-4 years of experience in video editing of long-form projects eg. documentaries, informed, entertainment, drama, etc.
• You have hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier.
• You have creative and artistic skills.
• You are familiar with 3D composition and special effects.
• You have a portfolio of completed film productions.
