The Job

Responsibilities and Duties

• On-set and on-location video production
• Planning video shoots in advance with creative teams and clients
• Direct additional camera operators to capture the necessary footage, lighting requirements, desired effects, camera movements, and filming sequences
• Arrange studio sets to best suit camera settings, and control lighting, film stock, audio, and cameras to achieve the desired result from the film
• Familiar with lighting and set up of a greenscreen studio 
• Able to shoot for all social media formats and styles 
• Maintain, clean, and test all recording equipment each day before filming begins to ensure that every equipment is in excellent working condition
• Examine filming locations carefully to see if there are any issues with camera angles or lighting, and notify the director of any problems before production begins
• Data wrangling to ensure that the footage reaches the post production team efficiently and accurately
• Ensure continued knowledge of new technologies and industry trends to ensure you deliver the most up-to-date techniques to the job
• Ability to do simple video editing is a bonus

Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments
• Multitasking skills while working with crew members
• Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail
• Independent and confident to operate alone if required 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with clients and members of the project team
• Knowledge of post-production techniques
• Must be flexible to be on the move to travel to different sets and filming locations
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a videographer or similar role
• Has worked on film sets before in a videographer’s role 
• Any form of training in Film Production, Media Studies or equivalent
