An extremely light sleeper herself, Marissa founded SoundBlock Asia in her desperate search for a more effective ear plug that fits right.
She started her journey selling and distributing a range of ear plugs in 2020. Inspired by positive feedback from her customers, Marissa decided to launch ATTENU8 to fill existing gaps in the market.
With its customers’ needs at the heart of its business, SoundBlock Asia ensures that customer testing is always part the design process. Created and enhanced based on customer feedback, ATTENU8 aims to set the gold-standard for ear plugs: effective, durable and versatile.

SoundBlock Asia is looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern
- Increase followers on instagram (@attenu.8) and TikTok (attenu8)
- Increase engagement
This is an internship, so you don't have to have vast experience in growing social media accounts. It's important that you're interested and have a track record in your own personal social channels.
Responsibilities:
- Planning social media calendars on social channels
- Creating content mainly for Instagram and TikTok
- Brainstorm on ideas
- Identify new channels for collaboration or partnerships (YouTube / Influencers)
You'd be an ideal candidate if:
- You're a young millennial or Gen Z active and interested in social media
- You're looking for a company to grow and feature in your portfolio for future reference
- You're interested in pursuing design / marketing / social media in future.
- Superb knowledge on using Instagram Stories / Post / Reels (Priority), TikTok and Facebook (Secondary)
- Valuable Traits: Trust worthy, hardworking, takes initiative & responsible
- Good at photography and video editing is a plus point
