SP-QOK – Investment Associates

As part of our goals to receive and groom competent talents from the undergraduates pool, we are now opening up our internship course to undergrads. During this internship course, undergrads will be learning about 

1) Stock Market Exchange Strategies

Candidates will understand how economist made use of economic principles and theories to derive certain algorithm in the stock market, and the FX market. Candidates will be introduced to these strategies personally by a trained economist, who has spent several years in the teaching profession. Also, candidates will network with a pool of economist/investment traders to understand the different strategies used in various investment instruments

2) Mortgage Banking 

Candidates will then attend a course on mortgage bankiing, including the formulation of sibor/libor rates and understand how property investments in Singapore works, within parameters of certain applicable financial ratios. Candidates will also be put through a series of cases to understand how investors make money through reits, as well as the introduction of business contracts (contract law)

3) Accounting Principles

To understand deeper about investments, especially corporate investments, candidates shall undergo a series of training by a trained accountant. The different subject titles in this training include interpretation of company financial statements, Forensic accounting and financial ratios calculation

4) Consumer Finance

Candidates shall be introduced lastly to consumer finance, including the use of unit trusts or similar products in their investment portfolio. Candidates shall be introduced to legal courses such as estate distribution law, Wills, LPA, AMD and various instruments used in consumer finance
