Job Description

About this position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Video Production Intern to join our team for a minimum of 3 months. As a Video Production Intern, you will work closely with our video production team to assist in various aspects of video production, from pre-production to post-production. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the field of video production and honing their skills in a professional setting.

About the role:

  • Pre-production Support:
  1. Collaborate with the video production team to brainstorm and develop video concepts and storyboards.
  2. Assist with scriptwriting, research, and gathering necessary resources for video shoots.
  3. Coordinate logistics for video shoots, including location scouting, talent coordination, and equipment setup.
  • Production Assistance:
  1. Assist in setting up and operating video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio gear during video shoots.
  2. Support the production team in capturing high-quality footage, including framing shots and ensuring proper audio levels.
  3. Help manage and organize equipment inventory, ensuring everything is in working order.
  • Post-production Support:
  1. Assist with video editing tasks, including footage organization, rough cuts, and final edits.
  2. Work closely with the editing team to help implement visual effects, motion graphics, and other post-production elements.
  3. Help ensure timely delivery of finalized videos by assisting in the export, rendering, and file management processes.
  • Content Creation and Creative Input:
  1. Collaborate with the team to generate innovative ideas for video content that aligns with our brand and objectives.
  2. Contribute creatively by offering suggestions and solutions during brainstorming sessions.
  3. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to bring fresh perspectives to video production projects.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  1. Provide general administrative support to the video production team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing files.
  2. Assist with project documentation, including maintaining shot lists, call sheets, and other production-related paperwork.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program or recently graduated in a relevant field such as film production, media studies, communications, or a related discipline
  • Prior experience or coursework in video production, including basic knowledge of camera operation, lighting techniques, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Proficient in using video editing software and a good understanding of post-production processes.
  • Familiarity with video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity and the ability to think visually, translating ideas into compelling video content
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning
  • A portfolio or samples of previous video production work (if available) would be highly advantageous
