Job Description
STUDIO OIK [oh-weyk] consists of a collective of creative individuals who looks at things differently.
We strongly believe in the power of sincere story telling and together, we represent a creative video agency that specializes in visual story telling and effective communications.
We are currently looking for highly motivated and determined individuals to join us in the following position -
Assistant Editor | Editing Intern (6 months onwards)
Responsibilities:
The candidate should be a creative team player with excellent communication skills and positive working attitude and carries a flair for visuals to ensure good story telling through editing. He or she must be able to work independently.
Job responsibilities includes:
- Checking of log sheets when the rushes arrive, noting any technical problems and the good takes selected by the Director.
- Working closely with the editor / director to assemble and refine the edit until it is picture lock.
- Managing project files and archiving media footage as well as authoring DVDs for projects.
- Laying music and tracks and general sound mix for the video if required.
This person will be required to be on film set at times.
Job Requirements:
- Good post-production knowledge of video editing (Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premier), audio editing (Adobe Audition/Soundtrack Pro), motion graphics (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop).
- Able to manage tight deadlines.
- Able to work on weekends should the need arise.
- Able to commence work immediately or within short notice .
- Preferably from film/media studies or has some working experience in the related field.
Interns who do well in their internship period may be invited to join the company full time.
