This role sits within our Elderly Innovation & Learning Unit, where we explore the intersection of gerontology, education design, and accessible technology.
* Job Purpose
To co-create and support meaningful, age-inclusive learning experiences that empower elderly individuals to stay active, curious, and connected. As part of Superink’s multidisciplinary team, the intern will help develop educational content, wellness tools, and AI-assisted platforms designed specifically for senior learners. Your work will support active aging, cognitive wellness, and lifelong learning—especially for elderly communities who are often underserved in digital spaces.
* Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Content Development
Assist in designing age-friendly educational slides and activity booklets for elderly learners.
Adapt content to various learning levels with visual aids and simplified language.
Translate medical, wellness, or tech topics into engaging, easy-to-understand materials.
Exercise & Activity Planning
Help develop light physical exercises and chair-based movements tailored for elderly mobility levels.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Research & Innovation
Conduct research on global geriatric education programs and wellness initiatives.
Explore how AI and assistive technologies can support elderly learning, communication, and daily life.
Contribute ideas for AI-enhanced engagement tools (e.g., chatbot companions, cognitive games).
Community Engagement & Feedback
Observe learning sessions and assist with facilitation or note-taking.
Gather feedback from elderly participants to improve educational tools.
Help prepare surveys and analyze responses on program effectiveness.
* Skills & Qualities:
Interest in gerontology, community health, or adult education
Strong communication and visual storytelling skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
Willingness to learn about AI, aging, and inclusive design
Empathetic, patient, and respectful towards elderly participants
[Optional] Bilingual skills in Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, or dialects are a plus
* Preferred Background:
Pursuing a diploma or degree in: Health Sciences, Psychology, Education, Gerontology, Design, or related field
Internship, volunteer, or project experience with elderly or vulnerable populations
